He Makes Me Lie Down in Green Pastures, C.P.

I am so happy in this lovely place! I've been brought to the place spoken of in Song of Songs 1:7. I am now with the sheep who are made to lie down at noon in green pastures by our wonderful Shepherd, the Lord Jesus. The Lord led me to meet with local church in my city one month after I received Him when I was 23. For that month I wandered about seeking rest and spiritual food and the meaning of being a Christian. Surely God had a wonderful plan for man.

The year was 1972 and at that time there was a kind of revival among the young people of the U.S. During the month after I received Christ as my Savior I searched in a lot of denominations for help to know Jesus in a deeper way and follow Him. At this point the Lord led me to have personal contact with some Christians meeting with the local church in San Francisco. There I received the spiritual food which changed my life and caused me to know in such a deep way my Savior and my God. Through the books and speaking of Witness Lee, I found out that I had a human spirit and that the Lord was the Spirit and that He Himself was dwelling now in my spirit to mingle Himself with me and make me one with Him (2 Corinthians 6:17). I found out I could call on the name of our Lord Jesus (Romans 10:12-13). This was so crucial for my growth in the Lord. As young believer I began to experience my Lord in my ordinary daily life. He was not far off. He became so near and dear to me. Witness Lee was so full of the experience of Christ, and able to share with me so I could also experience such a wonderful Christ in all my daily living.

I was married a year after I began to meet with the local church to a brother also meeting with the church; together we have raised six children. Now after 25 years of marriage I can say Christ is sweeter as the days go by. My life has not been without human sufferings, but by His grace with the other believers in the local church I am able to endure all things and run the race toward the goal. The Lord told us in the world we would have tribulations, but we are able to endure so much because our wonderful Shepherd is walking among us. The Lord loves the church, which consists of all believers, and He blesses the oneness among the believers ... the genuine oneness which is just the Lord Himself incorporated into His believers (Psalm 133).

I am so grateful to the ministry of Witness Lee, who stands on the shoulders of many faithful brothers and sisters in the Lord throughout the ages. My life is full of meaning and reality and hope that I may see my Lord as He is at His coming and participate in ending Satan's kingdom and ushering in the Kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ!
